What to Expect

Syrah: One of the few grapes to really be a global success. Syrah combines a meaty core of ripe berry fruit with tones that range from herbal to peppery in a package that tends to be medium bodied with good acidity and softer tannins. With age the wines can gain lovely leathery and black olive notes that make them a great match for savory and gamy dishes.

Winemakers Notes

This deliscious Syrah is a blended wine from various vineyard sources throughout the state. This is an enjoyable wine for the table ready to drink now or to lie down for 1-5 years. The California Cuv?e always contains a great spice backbone of white pepper from JC's Ventana vineyard. An amazing cherry and raspberry core from the Fess Parker vineyard followed with ripe tannins and a mocha/smoke finish from Musci and Shannon Ridge vineyards. So versatile a wine that it can be paired with any of your favorite foods or drink well on it's own.

This label, created by Jean-Pierre Got from Bordeaux, France, is called "a la cave" or from the cave, as it shows an amusing side of wine. Our goal is to find vineyards that will produce wines...
