When Diane and Ken Wilson first visited the Mendocino County property they fell in love with the patchwork of California oaks and the Russian River running along the vineyards. Bringing this Mendocino vineyard back to life was a challenge they could not pass up. First renovating the historic Farmhouse on the hill and then focusing on the vineyards this project kept them busy this year. Tasting Notes:

Our Burnee Hill blend consists of 60% Cabernet and 40% Merlot from the Wilson vineyards located in the Dry Creek Valley. Merlot offers the silk glove of softening tannins and mellow fruit to tame Cabernet’s boisterous tenacity. The harmony of ripe fruit, sensuous oak and finely tuned tannin structure make this historical mix eminently enjoyable.
