This wine has a tremendous nose - rich, complex, enticing and just plain gorgeous! Notes of cola, anise and vanilla drift over a dominating blackberry component on the nose that carries to the first sip... the body is lighter than I expect, with a floral component contributing to the fruit that raises my eyebrows. The finish is a surprising blend of mint over dark roast coffee and dark fruits. A great conversation piece, pick up a few bottles and save them for special occasions with special friends.

Cathedral is the name of this rare and lovely Cabernet. Though not after a church but a special rock, this wine takes it's name and proves that it too is something to be revered. The bouquet spills over with black fruit, dark chocolate, eucalyptus, and a hint of anise. The flavor profile is a little different, but in a good way. This is a nicely balanced, light bodied wine with an array of flavors including tart blackberries and plums. The finish is dry with notes of black coffee that linger.
