James Judd & Son Malbec Verdot 2004

Member Review by thewineattic:

I can't say enough about this stellar winery. The owners have extensive background in farming. All the wines are carefully hand-crafted. This blend of 75% Malbec, 25% Petite Verdot is very rounded out, full-bodied from the PV. Ready now but can be stored until 2012. The wines are low production, limited editions. Join the wine club if they have on - you won't be disappointed in any of the labels that they produce. Grapes are from east and west side of Paso Robles, CA. Fruit forward, smooth tannin makes this wine a winner for sipping as well as food pairing with meats, ribs, paella, heavy cioppino. You will have to call James directly to see if they have any more at the winery.
