Jaffelin Mâcon-Peronne 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

Jaffelin was founded by Charles and Henri Jaffelin, and is entirely dedicated to Burgundian wines. Charles and Henri were sons of an established winegrower and right from the start they decided to follow their father's motto: "Burgundy, nothing but Burgundy!" By using Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the two traditional and inalterable varietals of Burgundy, Jaffelin wines are at the heart of the region. They are to be found on all of the Côtes: Beaune, Nuits, Châlon and Mâcon. Prune Amiot, a young burgundian, with a wealth of experience from working in Burgundy, Côte Rôtie and New Zealand, is Jaffelin’s winemaker. This 100% Chardonnay wine is a bright light yellow in colour with lively white fruit and white flower aromas. Harmonious and soft this wine is fresh and smooth on the palate with nice balance. It shows both good acidity and concentration.

Three and a half glasses

This white wine from Burgundy has aromas of minerals and pear. With apple and citrus flavors, it pairs best with seafood dishes.
