This wine has a nice deep purple color. It had a nice fruitty nose with moderate tannins. I found this wine on clearance at my local wine store. Very nice.
Three and a half glasses
Rich nose of blackberry and pepper, but this is extremely hot. Somewhere there is some fruit under the alcohol, but by all means serve this no warmer than cellar temp. I'll leave a score/add'l notes in a day after it's had time to sit/chill (currently room temp) Same the second day. Great nose, awkward/hot palate.
Couldn't drink it, sour smoke are the only words I can think of to describe it. 15% alcohol was also a turn-off. Poured it out!
This was one of the best Syrahs I have ever had. Big flavor and great to drink on its own! I highly recommend trying this wine.
I have never had a wine that smelled more like blackberry cobler!. Very dark tasting - black and blue berries with slight meatiness, some vanilla and almost coconut flavors from the oak. Moderate peppery finish.

Wine Tasting NotesThe Jade Mountain Lake County Syrah offers luscious, smoky raspberry and fraise des bois aromas. Medium-full in body, this wine is richly textured with balanced acidity, and should age beautifully for several years. It pairs wonderfully with red meat, savory stews, and rich paella.
This 2004 Syrah shows black cherry and cassis aromas, with hints of toasty wood. Big flavors of chewy coffee and black fruit are followed by a rolling chocolate finish.
