What to Expect

Merlot has gotten a bad rap as of late but there is no denying the wine's appeal. Packed with deep, dark berry fruit and nuanced hints of cocoa, herb and earth with a soft structure. Its velvety texture makes Merlot instantly appealing and an obvious alternative to similar, more tannic Bordeaux varieties.

Reviews

Very fruity, mineral nose. Very rich, fruity and packed with dense sweet fruits. Great silky mouthfeel, good tannins for a merlot, and with a nice green pepper minerality. Very nice.

Extremely well balanced and both mellow and spicy at the same time with lots of nice ripe plums. Offers up a silky complex finish of chocolate and some licorice. Like a Jacuzzi in my mouth!

Good kind of wine for antipastos, very savory, a little bit sweet, just enough tannins with some complexity in the fruit and wood flavors. Should be agreeable to many palates.

Warm olive, spice, red fruit, chalky aromas. Very pleasant and easy drinking, good mouthfeel with a strong acidic backbone and fresh dark chocolate on the finish. Finishing long and with warm baking spices and a bit of black pepper.

cloves and cherry juice on the nose. gobs of extracted blackberry fruit and semi-sweet chocolate. this wine is bursting with flavor and silky smooth. do not hold on to this. the alcohol taste is present but is well contained. no decant necessary, it's drinking great right now and for $20 it's an absolute steal. I paired with hillshire farm smoked sausage with steamed broccoli and a baked potato and it fit like a michael jackson glove.

Smells of sweet luscious fruit and maybe some heat. Great tasting vino. I hear it tastes good with success.
