strangely, the juiciness of the Malbec and the seductiveness of the petite verdot are the dominant flavors even though they only make up 16% of the wine. a very interesting blend overall which is drinking great now but can cellar for several years as well.

Tannic. pH and alcohol seem high for long term cellaring but should be better in 2011. Patience required. Interesting blend of grapes. Fred Cline has rolled back prices - - suggested list now $20. Sold in carton of 6 - - bottle bottom resembles Doric column. Should work well with steak, cheese or chocolate.

Wine Tasting NotesA unique blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Barbera and Merlot, we call this our Super Sonoman, our take on a Super Tuscan. It's a wonderful blend of traditional Bordeaux varieties with an Italian twist. The wine displays rich cherry and pleasant herbal flavors and has a tannic backbone that makes for a well-balanced wine that will age gracefully for years to come.
