Jacquesson Cuvée 734 NV
"The new release of Jacquesson’s non-vintage Brut, Cuvée no. 734 is a very dry example of Brut, with a dosage of only 3.5 grams per liter of residual sugar. The wine is just lovely, as it offers up a classic Jacquesson aromatic mélange of tart orange, green apples, bread dough, stony minerality, a touch of quinine, citrus zest and an exotic, gentle topnote of cumin. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and racy, with a rock solid core of fruit, a very soil-driven personality, bright acids, frothy mousse and lovely length and grip on the decidedly youthful finish. This is not a bad drink right now, but significantly more complexity is likely to emerge with some bottle age...91+" JG 07/11 "The NV Brut Cuvee N° 734 comes across as tightly wound and focused. Lemon, hazelnuts, flowers and sweet dried herbs are some of the nuances that take shape in the glass in this focused, wiry Champagne. The Cuvee N° 734 is 54% Chardonnay, 26% Meunier and 20% Pinot Noir, based vintage 2006. This bottle was disgorged in the first quarter, 2011. Dosage was 3.5 grams per liter...91" WA 11/11 "Based on the 2006 vintage, this current release of Jacquesson’s nonvintage wine has richness and power, while tight acidity surrounds the core of pear and pineapple fruits. The touch of steel gives a great final bite...94" Wine Enthusiast 12/11

In the mouth it is creamy, fresh and mineral, return the golden apple and toasted notes, close to the typical and delicate citrus notes. Assaggiato marzo 2012 Al naso è piacevolissimo, ananas, pesca bianca e mela golden, note di tostatura, nocciole, fiori d'acacia e zeste d'arancio. This marks the 734th cuvée made at the Maison Jacquesson. A regal, sturdy Champagne, amply filled with yellow plums, bosc pears and aromatic, leesy fresh baked bread. Always complex, the wine is mostly 2006 vintage with reserves from the 2005 and a splash of the 2004. 54% Chardonnay with a mélange of Pinots Noir and Meunier, the still wine is vinified in foudres, large barrels. Consistent with the house style, the 734 does not disappoint. Pair with fried appetizers or blini and domestic caviar.
