Jacqueline Bahue Albarino Gomes Vineyard California 2013

Member Review by puhnner:

A recent purchase from Naked Wines. Pretty good. Had not had an Albarino before, seems much like a Sauvignon Blanc, which is not one of my favorite wine types, however this one seems a bit more creamy than a typical SB. Light, crisp, peach/apricot, a bit of lime.I had this with a Crab Leg Omelette, which I found to be a nice pairing. Glad I bought 2 bottles.

Had this again the other day. Surprised how good this was. Great minerality of slate and wet concrete, good acidity, off dry.

Although grown in California, this Albarino is almost as good as the Spanish ones that I have had. Some lemon notes. not too dry. A medium finish. Went perfectly with tuna.

Solidly complex for the price. Buttery with a spicy finish. Paired well with chicken sausage.
