Jacob's Creek Merlot 2007
Colour: Bright crimson red. Bouquet: A very attractive nose showing spice, blackberries, leaf and subtle toasty oak. Palate: Dark berry fruit with light mint and spice support integrated oak flavours. The palate shows fine, persistent tannins that complement the balance of oak and fruit. Enjoy now or cellar for future rewards. Serving suggestion: Enjoy with braised red meat or lasagne.
Scents of dark cherry and smoke. Medium body with slight licorice and tangy/smoky flavor.
My favorite $7 bottle of wine, it's great for the price. Maybe not a sophisticated wine, but absolutely drinkable.
Nice after the wine was allowed to breath a bit, however not something I would do again. In a pinch, maybe.
