Its not often I do not like a Champagne blend sparkling wine but was left really disappointed with this one. Far too sweet, far too sharp, far too loud.............the taste is just too much citrus and any subtlety (if there is any) is completely lost. One glass is enough thanks.

This is a light, frothy sparkling wine with yeasty aromas and a lemon-cream palate. A little nuttiness on the very short finish. Bubbles are BIG. Mix it with OJ for brunch or use it to toast a spring sunset. Nothing much to write home about or mull over, but it's a perfectly ok cheap sparkler. Off-dry. NB: It's actually better slightly warmed up from the fridge. Don't serve ice cold for best flavor. Let it sit for 10 minutes before you drink it.

Pale salmon pink color. Nice and dry. Casual sparkling wine for summer day on the grass outside.

Chief Winemaker Philip Laffer says that he wanted this wine to be of an ?aperitif style?that once you count to five, it should all disappear.? In both respects, the wine succeeds. It?s 20% Pinot Noir, with very light stone fruit flavors and wide foamy mousse on the palate. Chalk and stone fruit flash on the finish. Only 3 or 4,000 cases on the U.S. market now, but many more are sure to follow.

Wine Spectator ReviewRated 86Bright and lively, with smoky green apple and fresh-baked bread flavors, finishing crisp. Drink now.

Winemaker's Notes:

An outstanding example of full flavoured Australian sparkling wine. The citrus and toasted cashew nut flavours of chardonnay are married to the fresh attractive breadcrust characters of pinot noir.
