Jack Tone Red NV

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

California Red Wine 13.5% Spice and earthy on the nose with noticeable wood influence but at the same time this has some attractive, low key wild berry, blueberry and grape skin notes. Moderately rich and nicely chewy with plenty of soft tannins, some nice black fruit on the mid-palate, juicy acidity and a light streak of vanilla and wood spice filling out the sides. This is young and rambunctious but has a really attractive ripe fruit character and is very well balanced. The finish is brief but crisp with a nice tannic wash and an earth black fruit finale. Dotted with light green herb notes. I could certainly drink this. 86pts

Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Very fruity, not very tannic at all. Great party wine, with great "drinkability."

Fruit, fruit, FRUIT! Plus a bit of stemminess...soft on the nose and velvety on the palette; very drinkable and perfect wine for a party!

Nice fruity red taste with just a bit of tartness on the back end. Very smooth, easy drinking wine. And it comes out of a box, easy storage! This is dangerous

Lots of plum and dark cherries on the nose. Very fruity and smooth with a nice tart finish. Very nice wine for the price!
