What to Expect

Also Known as Pinot Bianco in Italy and Weissburgunder in Germany, Pinot Blanc produces bright wines with a gentle fruit character. At their best they have a transparency that reveals a mineral note in the wine. They tend to have a rich mouthfeel yet remain well-balanced.

Winemakers Notes

Tasting Notes: Nose - A bit reticent to come out of the glass until the wine warms up a bit. Subtle citrus notes and a trace of a hint of proofing yeast. Palate - Wow, this is a zippy wine with mouth-watering crispness. The perfect oyster wine, but also look to chicken picatta or fish dishes with lots of lemon. Citrus is the key bridge ingredient here. Stands up well to salads as well. Not like most pinot blancs. Pale straw in color. If you serve it too cold, all you get is herbaceous aromas and flavors. When it's warmer, aromas of pineapple an cream echoed on the palate. Abrupt, herbal finish that turns slightly rubbery.
