J. Lohr Hilltop Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
Wine Tasting Notes Very dark, red-purple in color with youthful hues, the J. Lohr Hilltop Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has complex aromas of black cherries and blackberries with a bouquet of cedar, anise, licorice, tar and vanilla toasted oak. The Hilltop is a plump, luscious mouthful of wine, with supple yet ample texture and balance, reminiscent of Bordeauxs finest Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines with the structure to age for 10 to 15 years. 96.3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3.7% Petit Verdot.
Big fruit, but a bit overly oaky for me. A bit like a good wine placed too close to a camp fire.
very smooth but lacking in body, actually might like the less expensive 7 oaks better, but still a very good wine
Little bit of a bite, but after decanted very smooth and flavorful.Reasonably priced for the integrity of wine.
