This has become our house white at home. Seems well balanced between acidity and sweetness. Nice mineral quality with some bubbles upon opening. Read more

Almost stony on the nose, with a nice, deep white floral note and hints of jasmine and light wild strawberry fruit. Round, soft and lightly honeyed on entry with tropical mango and papaya flavors along with dried apricot notes that are sweet and a little sticky. This has good acidity but plenty of sugar to make it sweet; while not cloying, it is almost a dessert-level sweetness for me. Would certainly be a great wine for spicy foods. 84pts

This is a nice Riverstone and a good value at around $8. The nose has pear and honey but is a bit overpowered by the oak. Needs more fruit intensity but is an enjoyable wine. Not profound but not expensive either. My rating -- 86

This elegant Chardonnay has an attractive pale strawyellow color. The aromas are of pear, apple and stone fruits, combined with a perfumed roasted hazelnut and butterscotch bouquet from the barrel fermentation and sur lie aging. The flavors are very soft with ripe pear, tangelo citrus and vanilla toastiness, producing layers of complexity with a silky balance of fresh fruit acidity and palate-weight. -Jeff Meier, winemaker

The aromas are of nectarine, peach pie and apple--combined with the perfumed vanilla and toasted oak bouquet from barrel and malolactic fermentation and sur lie aging--creating an elegant Chardonnay from Monterey's Arroyo Seco AVA. The flavors are very clean, with peach, nectarine and citrus with subtle butter and vanilla toastiness, producing layers of complexity with an excellent balance of fresh fruit acidity and palate weight.
