These notes come from the 2007 bottle:

The 2007 J. Lohr Estates Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon is a youthful, dense purple red color with bright hues. The aroma is very generous with black cherry, black currant and plum fruit, complemented by vanilla, char and toasty notes from the twelve to fourteen months in barrel. On the palate, the fruit flavors echo the aroma, complexed with blackberry and a plump, round mouthfeel and finish. Although the 2007 Seven Oaks Cabernet is ready to be enjoyed now, it is cellar-worthy for an additional 5 years. Enjoy it with your favorite roasted or barbecued read more...

Tried this with great expectations after reading the reviews. Was not disappointed.

Very well balanced cab. Tannins strong enough to hold the dark fruit, smoke, and spice together, yet not overpowering the palate.

At 16 bucks, still a bargain.

Had the '07, thought it was cellar worthy. This might be real dynamite with a few more years in the bottle.

My favorite Cab for the money! Smooth, with an amazing aroma, this is my go-to wine to have with a good steak. You can get this wine for under 15 (USD) if you shop around... Definitely worth it!
