J Drouhin Pommard Burgundy France Burgundy Joseph Drouhin 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

90 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): The straight Chassagne AC from Maison Drouhin (the Laguiche bottling is actually made up of a couple of premier crus, primarily Morgeot) is lovely in 2006. The wine is precise and racy, and avoids the high alcohol levels that plague so many 2006 whites, as it offers up a classic bouquet of apple, peach, buttered toast, a lovely base of soil and a discreet touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, crisp and quite classy for Chassagne villages, with no heaviness, and a generous attack followed up by a lovely, racy and minerally finish. Good juice. 2007-2015. (Nov/Dec 2007)

Joseph Drouhin:
DEDICATION TO THE DIVERSITY OF BURGUNDY With close to 90 different appellations, Joseph Drouhin offers a fascinating array of Burgundy terroirs in all their authenticity and subtle variations. A FAMILY HERITAGE For the last 130 years, Maison Joseph Drouhin has been in the hands of the Drouhin family. Today, the fourth generation is at the helm, animated by the same passion that inspired the founder of the company.
