J. Bookwalter Suspense Red Columbia Valley Conner-Lee Vineyard 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

92 points Jeb Dunnuck (Wine Advocate): Reminiscent of a classy Pomerol, the 2013 Suspense checks in as a mix of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc that's from an old vine selection (all from the Conner Lee Vineyard) and was raised all in puncheons. Leafy herbs, cedar, lead pencil shavings and plenty of dark currant and plum fruit give way to a medium to full-bodied, rich, nicely textured 2013 that has ripe tannin and a great finish. Drink it over the coming decade. Drink: 2016-2026. (Jun 2016)
