Isabel Sauvignon Blanc 2010
Isabel Estate Vineyard was established in 1982 to produce premium classical grape varieties in Marlborough. Prior to the 1994 vintage, Proprietor Michael Tiller, then an airline pilot with Air New Zealand, together with his wife Robyn, operated Isabel Estate successfully as a contract grape growing vineyard supplying some of Marlborough's leading wine producers with much sought after premium fruit. The character and individuality of their fruit derived from a unique soil profile and vineyard location encouraged them to produce and market their own wine under the Isabel Estate label. This was regarded as the most natural of evolutionary steps. The '08 season produced fnatastic fruit. Bunches ripened slowly and completely, producing nicely concentrated berries. This Sauvignon has a bright nose of tropical fruit and fresh citrus zest. The palate follows with tart gooseberries, ripe white peach and a hint of fresh grass. Just enough natural aid to keep you yearning for more. In true Isabel fashion, this wine delivers concentrated flavour in an elegant package.

A Sauvignon Blanc wine from Marlborough in New Zealand. 2010 Isabel Estate Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 750ml
Straw colored, the understated aromas reveal hints of lemon blossom, pound cake and subtle herbal notes. Very creamy on the palate, the broad textures are of medium weight and are infused with lemon flavors. There's almost a thick textural component ... Chuck Hayward.
