Iron Horse Vineyards White Blend Green Valley Russian Cuvée 2004
The same base wine as Classic Vintage Brut, but with a richer dosage, which makes it more opulent, slightly sweeter and heightens the fruit. Originally designed for the historic Reagan-Gorbachev Summit Meetings ending the Cold War. According to USA Today, "an intertwining of the arts of diplomacy and gastronomy".

Mineral on the nose with notes of dried fruits, dried dates, and apply fruit. In the mouth this is lovely and strong with a core of apple and citrus fruits married to a medium bodied wine with a superfine mousse. 88pts
This immediately impresses with huge lemon curd and biscuit notes on the nsoe that are vivid and complex and layered over notes of dried apricot. The mousse is slightly coarse though this is really very well balanced with deep, earthy flavors. The acids keep this so well balanced and accentuate the elegance and length this offers. 91pts
a crispness and citrus on the nose with fresh toast. the palate filled with apples, melons, peach combined with some stone and minerality qualities and great acidic finish.
This is almost always my favorite sparkling wine from Iron Horse, and to may taste the most Champagne-like. 100% Chardonnay, aged 4 years on the lees, this wine is exceptionally crisp and clean in the mouth, with subtle citrus flavors on top of a toasty underlayer. Elegant, flavorful, yet seemingly light as air as you drink it.
This Sparkling commemorates the toasting wine at the Reagan-Gorbachev Summit Meetings ending the Cold War, which still holds pride of place at the White House.
Distinctive and elegant. This bubbly is aged four plus years on the yeast in the bottle. it is like drinking a cloud.

Marked by its soft mousse-like refinement this sparkling wine is sheer silk and satin in the mouth. On the palate the raspberry lime and vanilla flavors are subtle while leesy doughiness and oakiness bring a touch of smoke. This is a beautiful wine for a celebratory toast or to enjoy with lobster crab or scallops. It would also perfect a weekend brunch alongside plain old scrambled eggs and buttered toast. Wine Enthusiast.
