Iron Horse Vineyards Classic Vintage Brut 2009
Editorial Reviews for Iron Horse Vineyards Classic Vintage Brut
Wonderfully complex aromas of yeast, brioche, sweet almost peachy and tangelo fruit fill the glass. Made in a brighter, tenser style this shows off steely mineral notes up front, followed by subtle yeast tones well integrated on the lemon zest and lemon pith rich midpalate. very refined and long on the finish with a bit of clay minerals the finish with a hint of fruit cake with tart plums on the finale. very precise and elegant. 91pts
Notes of beeswax, white mushroom, rose petals, and radish greet the nose in this wonderfully fresh and very white smelling wine. In the mouth this has a huge presence with subtle berry and citrus tones that are crisp and crunchy. There’s a touch of sweetness but it is very well integrated leaving this full of freshness and a feeling that makes me think of freshly washed linens. 92pts

Great Russian River Sparkler. Very dry with yeast, almonds and a fantastic finish.
Aromas and flavors of honeyed raisins. Crisp and well balanced.
Rich, creamy, classic and elegant. Sends off memory bells that say "champagne" because of the finesse and mastery of the technique, but the fruit is unmistakeably Sonoma County, Russian River, Green Valley and most specifically Iron Horse.
Three and a half glasses
Lighter in style than the Blanc de Blanc and less intense. Crisp sparkler but not a lot of intensity.

Seamless from start to finish, both rich and elegantly sleek. Floral Asian pear and creamy almond aromas lead to complex and delicately balanced flavors of lively lemon and raspberry, plus ginger and spice. The finish lingers beautifully.
By nose: Meyer lemon and Filbert nut. By mouth: ripe red apple, yeast and a touchof lemon zest. Best when served with food, pair with anything spicy, salted or fried. Great with French fries, popcorn, chips and salsa, potato chips and onion dip and grilled steak
This bottling spent 4 years on the lees before disgorging. This adds a notable complexity that will impress. Made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
