In the mouth this is subtle and crisp with a top note of sassafras overly the unabashedly fruity, and gently sweet mid-palate that is laced with vanilla and honey. An in your face style of bubbly but in it’s own way very appealing. 91pts

Joy! is a new Sparkling Cuvée from Iron Horse, produced only in magnums and aged 10 to 15 years on the yeast in the bottle. It is a gorgeous combination of elegance, refinement and power. Joy! is "non-vintage" or "multi-vintage" in the sense of representing a range of years. Production is very limited. We currently have 1,200 magnums sufficiently aged. Younger vintages will continue to age at Iron Horse until they reach this quality level. Food Pairing The perfect, most glamorous, joyful aperitif. Pairs beautifully with freshly shucked oysters, thinkly sliced smoked salmon; farm fresh radishes with rich, creamy butter and fleur de sel sea salt, pate. Accolades Joy! has been awarded a near perfect 98 points by Wine Enthusiast , 92 points by Wine & Spirits and named one of the Top 100 Wines of the Year by WE and The San Francisco Chronicle. It is a finalist for Sunset Magazine's Annual Wine Awards. Jon Bonne in the San Francisco Chronicle says “… here's a wine that creates its own special occasion simply in the uncorking.” Total production: 50 cases.
