Iron Horse Vineyards Champagne Blend Green Valley Classic Vintage Brut 2003
The most traditional of the Iron Horse Sparklings. A classy blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, aged an average of four years on the yeast in the bottle. Wonderfully rich and creamy, it sends all kinds of memory bells that say "champagne", though the fruit is unmistakably Sonoma County-Green Valley. It is vintage quality in every sense of the word.
Lighter in style than the Blanc de Blanc and less intense. Crisp sparkler but not a lot of intensity.

By nose: Meyer lemon and Filbert nut. By mouth: ripe red apple, yeast and a touchof lemon zest. Best when served with food, pair with anything spicy, salted or fried. Great with French fries, popcorn, chips and salsa, potato chips and onion dip and grilled steak.
