Iron Horse Sparkling Wine Wedding Cuvee Sonoma America 2007
Fantastic California sparkler that rates right up there with the best from the US. Dry, vibrant, almond, crisp citrus, acidity, nice tight bubbles. This is as close to France as California is going to get.
Excellent sparkly from one of my favorites in Russian River. Dry, crisp, acidic with bright fruit, slight touch of pink grapefruit and a great finish.
Tasted at UNLVino 4/10/10
This was a highly pleasing accompaniment to lamb chops, roasted potatoes and Bok Choi. It is a very nice Pinot with the right degree of lushness and fruitiness.
This pinot opens into a leather and black cherry palate with a light and lingering finish that bounces off the tongue. It's light earthiness offers light tannins that offset the juicy acidity. This wine balances well with red meats and grilled vegetables.
Easy drinking wine. Lots of juicy black cherry on the nose. Big cherry and slight plum with medium body and finish. Good wine. I picked up for $23 which was a deal. Would buy more for less than $25. Cheers!

By nose strawberry, minerality and ripe red apple. In the mouth apricot, cherry, strawberry and cardamom, cinnamon with lime at the finish. Match with South East Asian cuisine, spring vegetables, legumes such as fava beans or anything bright and green. A perfect brunch wine. Also great as an aperitif.
