The grapes for this wine come primarily from a small hand tended vineyard in the Los Carneros region of Sonoma County. Each grape cluster is individually selected for quality, to produce an intensely rich and opulent wine.
Our most intense Pinot Noir ever; and I attribute it to changes in my wine making approach. Through an extended fermentation that lasted almost five weeks, I was able to create a wine that is rich in color and full of big ripe flavors. On the nose, you find hints of tar and tobacco along with hints of floral notes; while on the palate, the wine won’t disappoint with its rich taste of strawberries that this vineyard is known for producing. A good balance of tannin and fruit makes this a perfect food wine. As with all of our previous vintages, this wine will age extremely well over the next several years.
