What to Expect

Pinot Grigio is one of the world's most popular wines. Also known under the French moniker "Pinot Gris", and even the German "Ruländer" among others, Pinot Grigio is a chameleon of a grape. It is produced in a range of styles, from the light fruity Italian style that has gained popularity, to a more mineral, flinty rich wine favored by the French - particularly in Alsace - and emulated by many in the new world.

Editorial Reviews

Light and aromatic with a subtle spice note under the ripe apple and nectarine fruit tones. On the palate this is medium bodied and fairly broad with light, fresh fruit ones and a touch of spice on the finish. Easy to understand and enjoy. 85pts

The 2007 Pinot Gris is light straw-colored with aromas of white peach and melon. Bright, crisp, tasty, and well-balanced, it will drink well over the next 1-2 years.

Aged in 80% stainless steel and 20% French oak barrels for 9 months. This Pinot Gris expresses fresh pears and nectarines on the nose with hints of spice and lemon meringue. On the palate, roasted coriander seeds and lemon zest are complemented by lime notes and a crunchy, dry finish. It will be a pleasure to drink over the next 2-3 years. Enjoy with salads, fish, spicy food and even sausages!
