Inniskillin Pinot Grigio Vqa Niagra Penninsula 2009
Very nice example of a Pinot Gris! The aromas are very much of tropical fruits, peaches and/or nectarine...very fruit forward. The flavors are much the same and I was happily surprised in how flavorful this wine is, as I don't find Pinot Grigio generally to be such a fruity variety! Lots of grape and citrus to note, and the acidity is great, leaving a crisp, refreshing and tart wine on the palate. The flavor lingers for quite awhile after the swallow leaving behind zesty citrus flavor. Note: This wine won a Silver medal in the 2010 Canadian Wine Awards in the Pinot Grigio/Gris Category!
