Inniskillin Meritage Dark Horse Estate Vineyard 2007

Member Review by minikoo:

at first there was a note of earthy and a small hints of chocolate on the nose, when set on the table for a longer period of time the fresh cherry note start to arise. palate wise this wine is fully balanced, not overwhelming in sweetness and sourness. a very smooth and delicate finish down the throat and again a slight sense of chocolate on the palate. overall good wine, drink now or enjoy it in a couple more years time.

After leaving Meeker, Mike headed up winemaking at Armida Winery. After many successful years making wine Mike decided it was time to let the Dark Horse out of the barn, so to speak. And ever since, he's been hittin' the trails with the Dark Horse. The concept is simple: take small lots of exceptional wine and put it in a package that folks can't help but notice...and have some fun with it along the way! www.darkhorsewine.com PRESS 92 points! Wine Spectator names Dark Horse 2005 Dry Creek Zin, Treborce Vineyard, top-rated California Zinfandel. Featured in BOTH May 2008 and June 30 edition! Dallas Morning News says...
