Indigo Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2000

Member Review by the connasewer:

Purchased a few bottles of the 97 at Bottle Barn, Santa Rosa in 2002. Tasted numerous times over 7 years. Most recent, 6/09. 12 years old and still showing well. Amazing. Wonderful dried fruit on nose, moderate oak, nice mouth feel and tasty, soft finish. I have had many more expensive cabernets that fell flat after 12 years. This is a killer wine for $9. And no more in my closet! johncf@sonic.net

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
