This 2010 Syrah from South Africa is good. Ruby color with a mid-rim variation. Fruit notes of raspberries, and black cherries with a hint of pepper. It has a mid-finish on the palette with low acidity. A good everyday table red wine. Best served chilled to 60 degrees, and served with a chicken curry dish.

Dark red. Slightly candied aromas of blackberry, raspberry, pepper, gunflint and musky spices, with attractive floral lift. Supple, juicy and moderately intense, with a slightly high-toned character.

Winemaker's Notes:

Bright red-ruby. Perfumed if slightly reduced aromas of black cherry, red berries, pepper and spices. Smooth, candied flavors of red fruits, spices and pepper offer moderate flesh but surprising freshness.- Stephen Tanzer
