Sweet perfume nose with a backbone of citrus. Slightly rich and almost buttery palate, but not too heavy; balanced well with moderate acidity and finish. Perfect match for left over fish and veggies. A new favorite!

Fermented in stainless steel but aged for 15 months in wood, it has aromas of dried cherries, vanilla, and cassis. On the palate it is lush and full with flavors of black cherries, prunes, blackberries, and very subtle herbal notes among others.

Wine Tasting NotesLight yellow color. Elegant nose of sweet field flowers: camomile, elder flower, iris. Pleasant on the palate with a back taste of sweet almond. Recommended pairing would be as an Aperitif, delicate dishes, salads and white fish.

Pale straw-yellow color with a green tinge. Herbal and minty aromas mingle with banana, underripe pineapple and pear. Light and fresh on entry, with a pleasant herbal nuance to the ripe citrus and pineapple flavors. Bright acids give this wine considerable clarity and cut. Quite persistent for what is a base-level Soave in name only, as this is at a quality level far superior to that of similarly priced wines.

The 2005 Soave Classico Vin Soave is sweet and fat with an almost exotic quality to its up-front super-ripe apricot and peach flavors. It is a perfect introduction to the house style. Inama is another of the region's leading producers of Soave. The estate favors a richer expression of the wines, especially evident in the top selections of both Soave and Sauvignon.

Shows mineral and sliced white peach character. Medium-bodied, with good fruit and a bright, fresh finish. Drink now.

Inama is one of the best producers in the Veneto, and this Soave Classico harkens back to the days when Soave was really something special.

Shows lavender and lemon character. Medium-bodied, with a crisp mineral finish and an intense lemon rind aftertaste. Drink now.

Winemaker's Notes:

If you're cruising on auto-palate, pull into this taste station. This is serious Soave, not the peely-wally stuff that rots your gaskins. Stefano Inama's wines are characterised by late-picking and extended maceration on the skins, thereby achieving more colour, density and ripeness than one would normally associate with this region. The basic white merits the “Superiore” tag and is 100% Garganega grown in the areas Monteforte d'Alpone and Soave. The vines are 20-30 years old and the grapes are harvested by hand with fermentation in stainless steel followed by malolactic fermentation. With a light yellow colour, an elegant nose of meadow flowers: camomile, elderflower and iris, this Soave is very attractive on the palate with a back taste of sweet almond. The finish is powerfully mineral with recurrent stabs of crystalline fruit.
