Il Marroneto Brunello di Montalcino 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

"Mid to pale ruby with broad rim. Undeniably opulent, but with good balance and tension and lovely palate weight. (WS)" (02/12) - 16.5+ out of 20 Points, Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages Wine: "A classic and elegant Brunello that is fragrant and fruity on the nose and well-structured on the palate, with a long elegant finish. Pairs well with roasted meat dishes and robust Tuscan recipes." - Importer Vinification/Aging: "Fermentation in steel tanks lasting 11 to 12 days. Pumping over the cap is done for the first 2 days. In a mix of Allier and Slavonian casks for 39 months. It becomes an official Brunello after 5 years, which includes the 6 months of rest in bottle." - Importer This wine was also rated 89 Points by the Wine Enthusiast.

Some volatility, with plums and mahogany. Full body, with silky tannins and bright acidity. Firm and slightly lean, but attractive. Decant before serving. James Suckling. A Brunello wine from Tuscany in Italy. 2007 Il Marroneto Brunello di Montalcino 750ml
