Food Pairings for Icardi Barolo Parej Barolo
Had the 2003 vintage on 21 April, 2012 with chicken a`la Jamie Oliver. The wine has been in my cellar since 2007, so some 5 years. Surprisingly mild and well balanced, on the nose it displays light blue berries, subtle vanilla, some light oak and a bit more leather. The palate is surprisingly light and even a bit short. However, it shows great balance from start to (a slightly short) end with tannins all gone. A high quality well balanced Barolo, but to be honest, a bit of a disappointment as it is so`short`.
