User Reviews for Humanitas Cabernet Paso Robles

Winemaker's Notes:

When crafting our 2005 Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon, we were inspired by a Habitat for Humanity executive director with a driving, fiery attitude, yet a disarmingly soft & charitable personality. Like the person that inspired it, this wine has , class and staying power! You'll experience all the wonderful forward blueberry & raspberry fruit up front, and ease into a complex, fulfilling wine that finishes with soft, almost sweet tannins in the finish. This luscious Cab goes great with rich cheeses, hearty stews & pastas, steak, hamburger, duck and just about anthing you put on the grill. In making this wine, I was driven by the memory of a Habitat for Humanity director I met who, when squaring off against a city planner who opposed a Habitat home because it didn't have a 2-car garage, responded with "When we finish putting a roof over every human that needs a home, we'll start finding shelter for the cars!"This attitude, fire and just plain good sense is exactly what I picked up in this wine and ultimately shaped its & direction. Talk about a wine with personality!Like all Humanitas wines, our 2005 Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon is stellar with food -- but also goes great with a good movie, good company, a good book, or anything from Beethoven to the Brett Dennen (a phenomenal new singer/songwriter I also highly recommend!).ONLY 970 CASES PRODUCEDOak: French
