With deeper soils than at neighboring "Clos du Bourg," vines resting in Le Mont's greenish-clay Perruches soils must dive deeper to hit limestone. These are energetic, long lived wines."Première Trie refers to a highly-tuned selection of nobly-rotten fruit from any number of passes though the vines. Precise, defined, smoky, lemon thyme slathered in honey butter. nose with a well-structured palate. The flavors evolve into musky beeswax that linger on the finish.
