Food Pairings for Huber Gruner Veltiner Hugo
Very good. Drinking by the glass, but would by by bottle. Worth it!
This wine goes great with vegetarian dishes!
Good summer refresher.
This light yellow colored wine had a wonderful citrus nose along with some apples and peaches. The lemon and limes were dominant on the palate along with some grassiness. It concluded with some acidic grapefruit on the back end.
Very very crisp, full of green apples. Mineral with a slight hint of mercaptins (maybe), but that seemed to dissipate after a while. A spicy finish from the oak. Would pair well with seafood or chicken salad.
Very crisp, strong citrus notes
Pale yellow in color, light body, crisp with high acidity. Great alternative to Sauvignon Blanc. $11.95 Easy drinking, slight to ample bouquet. Would recommend for light seafood, light cheeses and fruits or for a summer sipper. 11.5% alcohol. Lacks fruit intensity to me but drinkable if you just want a crisp high acid white wine.

A Gruner Veltliner wine from in Austria. 2010 Markus Huber Hugo Gruner Veltliner 750ml
Medium green-yellow. Subtle apple and dried pear on the nose and palate, with complicating notes of fresh tobacco, pepper and fennel. Elegant and light on its feet, with a refreshing curve of acid framing and lifting the complex array of flavors. Rem... Stephen Tanzer's IWC. A Gruner Veltliner wine from Niederosterreich in Austria. 2009 Markus Huber Gruner Veltliner Traisental DAC Obre Steigen 750ml
Farbe: intensives Grüngelb; Bouquet: Sehr reife Frucht (Birne), Honignote; Körper: Konzentriert, saftig und rund, kraftvoll im Abgang
Grüner Veltliner comes in many forms, and this is one of its rounder and more full-fruited manifestations. The wine is unoaked and dry, with a broad mid-palate full of white flowers and pears.
tell tale aromas and flavors of white peach apple and a long clean white peppery finish.
Wine Tasting NotesMedium green yellow. Pure pepper on the nose with hints of typical Grner spiciness, aromatic herbs and yellow fruit. Dense and complex on the palate. Goes well with any type of seafood, as well as Chicken and turkey.
