Howling Bluff Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2009
Our estate blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, the harvest of 2400 Sauvignon Blanc plants and 100 Semillon plants are blended together to produce our only white wine. While the majority of the juice was fermented in stainless steel, 4 barrels of premium French Oak received the juice prior to fermentation. Those four barrels were allowed to finish fermentation and then age for 5 months.
RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

This result of our hard work, this wine has great complexity. It shows true varietal aromas of guava and passion fruit with hints of citrus and a slightly earthy, mineral characteristic. The palate is fresh and crisp with good length and perfect balance, a great summer sipper and will stand up to bold foods.
