Howell Mountain Vineyards Zinfandel Howell Mountain Black Sears Vineyard 2004

External Review by Shop Wine Direct:

Wine Tasting NotesIt is brilliant medium garnet, with bright cherry and berry scents laid over a base of roasted pepper and nutmeg aromas and deep, ripe fruit that evolves with time. On the palate, the wine shows its breed, with medium full body, classical structure and texture, and flavors of noble fruit and roasted chestnuts. It is superbly elegant and balanced.

The Black Sears Vineyard is one of the highest vineyards in Napa Valley on Howell Mountain at an elevation of 2400 feet. This is a beautifully structured Zinfandel, revealing intense, dark fruit, fresh truffle, and cocoa flavors. It finishes with soft, velvet covered tannins. Try this with a steak for an eye opening experience!
