User Reviews for Howard Park Riesling Margaret River

Winemaker's Notes:

Howard Park is delighted to introduce a new winemaker for 2007, ex-Yalumba, Plantagenet and Millbrook star Tony Davis. With considerable experience in WA, and especially the Great Southern, Tony is an ideal choice to build on HP's success in recent years with Robert Parker being the latest to 'discover' the estate with a series of 90+ scores released in October. The wines have a purity of flavour and elegant structure that is difficult to achieve in Australia's warm climate and the style is wonderfully summed up by "If you buy one wine this week, make it this one, a thrilling, steely, lime zest-spiked Riesling whose minerally, mouthwatering fruit is as close as Western Australia's top Great Southern district is going to get to the German original. Hang onto this for 5 years and you will be rewarded with layer upon layer of classic, rich petrol-and-lime juice Riesling finesse." The Times (Weekend)
