This is gorgeous. Smooth, rich, ripe and loaded with complex flavors. Black cherry, blackberry, plum, cloves, coffee, spice, chocolate, licorice, anise, menthol and eucalyptus all weave a kaleidoscope of taste for a tantalizing, heady and satisfying... Wine Enthusiast. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 2000 Hourglass Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:

The eucalyptus is slightly subdued and balanced against more aromas of black licorice, earth, white pepper, and coffee/toffee. Again, on the palate, eucalyptus plays more of a supporting role against crème-de-cassis, fig, and dark fruit flavors. The texture is soft with a long finish, but this vintage has slightly elevated tannins. While the tannins created some grip when the wine was bottled, they are now mellowing and becoming more integrated. Decant 4 hours for full aromatics and texture.
