Hourglass Cabernet Sauvignon "Blue Line" 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

Aromas of dried cranberries, soy, and cinnamon are juxtaposed with a heady perfume of cedar box. The wine is of a classical style, rich yet highly structured with superb layering of red and black fruits, and beautifully integrated acid and fruit. The tight center core is balanced by fleshy black fruit on the mid palate and rich, silky tannins. The telltale minerality of our Blueline Vineyard runs through the length of the wine, providing a wet slate component and energy and lift throughout. Blueline wines from cooler vintage years tend to age better due to their higher acidity and tight fruit structure. 2011 is no exception. --Winemaker's notes
