User Reviews for Hosmer Riesling Cayuga Lake
Add your reviewThe 2007 Riesling, with all its decency to uphold the abilities of Riesling in the Finger lakes, does so in a fashion only to resemble that of a great statesman. Full of vim and vigor, it holds a magnificent abundance of peach and honeyed lemon up front to bring about a wonderful level of acidity to keep the sweet in check with lime and Anjou and Bosc pear flavors.
External Reviews for Hosmer Riesling Cayuga Lake
This high toned Riesling leads with pronounced green-herb aromas of chervil and coriander to highlight bright green apple notes. its flavors are very tightly wound, but itandrsquo;s refreshing in its taut construction.
Dry-edged, but also very juicy, with fresh, mouthwatering apple, melon rind and lime flavors that drive nicely through the anise-tinged finish.
The 2007 Dry Riesling is fresh and crisp with a bright finish. Flavors of lime and apple bounce around the palate with a zesty essence of tangerine.
This high toned Riesling leads with pronounced green-herb aromas of chervil and coriander to highlight bright green apple notes. its flavors are very tightly wound, but it’s refreshing in its taut construction.
Savory on the nose with pressed apple notes brightened by a dash of coriander spice, this semi-sweet Riesling is brisk with a lemony acidity and concentrated, honey-kissed apple flavors. Unusually spiced, it's a tempting companion for lighter South Indian fare.
Winemaker's Notes:
Wine Maker's Notes Aromas of peaches, pears, and honey in this rich and luscious semi-dry wine lead to bountiful fruit flavors in the mouth and a finish that's lively and long. Recommended Food Pairings This Riesling is delicious alone or with cheese, pork, chicken, smoked turkey, and especially complements many Asian style dishes.
