'The H3 Merlot opens with aromas of raspberries, black pepper and earthy tones which lead to flavors of chocolate covered cherries and plum preserves on the silky smooth palate. The flavors and aromas cumulate in to an intense - yet elegant - finish.' Juan Munoz Oca, Winemaker
Firm in texture, with a scratchy feel to the dark berry, coffee and licorice flavors, lingering on the finish. Best from 2014 through 2017.
As in the past, this is loaded with vanilla. Streaks of cut tobacco and light, pretty cherry capture the midpalate, and some chewy tannins kick in on the finish.
