Sleek and well-structured, with a tasty beam of currant and cherry-laced fruit supported by cedary oak and finishing with ripe, integrated tannins. Best from 2006 through 2012.
Graceful and decadent, this wine is made by longtime growers now with their own brand. Itrsquo;s ripe and gooey in black currant, cassis and chocolate, and beautifully structured, with fine, crisp acids and dusty tannins. As good as it is now, it should hold and improve for several years.

2004 Hoopes Family Cabernet Sauvignon is serious, complpex and earthy. The "earth" is the 10 acre family vineyard in the Oakville Appelation. Surely one of the worlds most prized areas for growing cabernet sauvignon. The limited yields result in superb aromatics, strikingly rich and brilliant flavors with full soft tannins.
