External Reviews for Honoro Vera Garnacha
Soft and fruit-forward, with bright cherry and red raspberry fruit notes. Excellent with tacos or chili.
Brilliant ruby. Spicy aromas of red berries, cola and fresh flowers. Sappy and fresh, with floral accents and a jolt of tangy acidity lifting the raspberry and spicy oak flavors. Finishes smooth and seamless, with vaguely red fruit character and no obvious tannins.
Deep red. Oak-spiced dark berry and cherry aromas display very good intensity. Juicy and sweet, with lush blackberry and cherry-cola flavors and a seamless texture. Shows a touch of bitterness on the finish, which lingers with good spicy grip. This is an excellent value.
The 2010 Honoro Vera Garnacha sourced from Calatayud spent a brief 2 months in French oak. Aromas of sage, thyme, and black cherry lead to a plush, succulent wine with layers of spicy fruit. All that is missing is complexity, but for $9 whoandrsquo;s complaining?
