During the grape growing season Eastern Washington boasts warm summer days followed by cool nights ensuring that grapes ripen fully while retaining ample natural acidity. We let our Gewrztraminer attain a high level of ripeness before picking. The resultant wine has aromas of lychee and rose petal. The rich palate is medium-bodied with lychee true varietal flavors and a spiciness characteristic of Gewurztraminer.The winemakers suggest pairing the wine with Thai curries or dishes with a sweet peanut sauce.

Mostly Sauvignon Blanc, with 10% Seacute;millon, this graceful wine opens with some sharp, grassy and grapefruity scents, then softens up a bit, with a textural middle that hints at sage, melon, smoke and herb. Huge improvement over the 2006.

Making a consistently great Fum Blanc (Sauvignon Blanc) requires paying keen attention to ripeness. Picking at optimal ripeness makes a wine that tastes like a recently ripened peach or guava fruit with refreshing acidity. The 2007 Fume Blanc has aromas of grapefruit and guava along with sage peppermint and a hint of smokiness. On the palate are varietal flavors of grapefruit with a bit of sage coconut and dried fig. The wine is crisp smoky and round with moderate weight and richness contributed by the Semillon (25%) added to the blend. The winemakers suggest paring the Fum Blanc with chicken salad or raw oysters.

A superb value, the 2003 Fumé Blanc reveals delightful aromas of cantaloupe melon, flowers and hints of citrus fruits. This blend of 83% Sauvignon Blanc, and 17% Semillon is medium-bodied, velvety-textured, rich and flavorful. White peaches, apples, pears, spices and notes of gooseberries are found in its friendly, generous personality. Drink it over the next 1-2 years.
A heavier style Sauvignon Blanc because of the 25% Semillon in the blend. Smoky grapefruit, almond and lime flavors abound. Super value!
