Hogue Cabernet Sauvignon Genesis Columbia Washington State Columbia Cabernet Sauvignon Usa 2007

External Review by Prestige Wine & Spirits:

Tartly balanced, with ripe blackberry and currant flavors at the core, picking up pepper, licorice and herbal notes as the flavors linger on the chewy finish. Give it time to settle in. Better than bottles previously reviewed. Best from 2007 through 2013.

Rich and generous, with a thick layer of bay leaf and other herb notes surrounding a lithe core of black cherry and licorice flavors. Drink now through 2005.

Polished generous and airy in texture with pure currant and blackberry flavors that hint at coffee as the finish lingers against fine tannins. Drink now through 2014.-HS Wine Spectator.

Ripe and generous, a bit scattered now but it has lots of intriguing elements, offering classic currant and black cherry flavor at the core, edged with tomatos and herbs as ths flavors persist. Needs time to settle in. Best from 2005 through 2010.

Supple, focused and appealing for its pretty cherry and spice flavors, picking up a roasted meat note as the finish lingers. Best from 2010 through 2014.

A ripe spectrum of fruit centers on ripe cassis flavor in this cabernet, its texture round and creamy, its tannin grainy and light. This smooth, clean red will complement most any meat on the menu.
