Hob Nob Vineyards Pinot Noir Vin de Pays d'Oc 2010
HobNob is a wine brand out of California that was launched in 2007. The wines are packaged with post-modern, sleek label designs and faux corks, with a hip spin-the-bottle theme on the company’s website. The wines are specifically marketed to 21-34-year-olds, with an emphasis on “social style,” affordability and approachable taste.
Had this for dinner Saturday night with my pizza. Very easy to drink, nice berry flavors. Good for the price
Gives me a headache.
The sweetie and I got a glass of this on our anniversary when we went out for tapas. The acidity in this wine worked great with the fatty jamon Iberico. Smooth and polished, pairs great with food, and it was nice and full. This was my first Pinot Noir and I can say I now have 3 or 4 different pinot noirs in my cellar waiting to be enjoyed. It's a good wine to enjoy when a simple red is desired or with people who are still learning about wine.
This was my first red wine, and I must say, I'm impressed! It goes down fairly smooth, and it's a great transitional wine from white. At $9 a bottle it's a great value!
