Hob Nob Vineyards Pinot Noir Vin de Pays d'Oc 2008
Brendan's Buzz Rated 91 This was a real surprise for me. Finding a great Pinot Noir for under $10 is like the Holy Grail of wine buying, and we did strike gold with the Hob Nob. This Pinot Noir from the South of France has enticing flavors of cherry, earth and spice with a medium body and nice finish. I was very happy to find my new house Pinot Noir. The Hob Nob Pinot Noir is a real winner!

The wines are specifically marketed to 21-34-year-olds, with an emphasis on “social style,” affordability and approachable taste.
Sweet nose, a little pepper and jerky. Smooth tight round mouthfeel, a little syrupy. Elegant long tannic dry finish of tea. Amazing value. Love it.
One of the better Pinots. Would recommend this.
Hob Nob pinot has some things going for it. It can be a crowd pleaser for those who are just beginning to enjoy wine, or those who prefer something on the sweet side. It is robust – not a wimpy see-through pink in color, like many pinot noirs. And it has some definite . . . http://wineguider.wordpress.com/2010/07/05/hob-nob-pinot-noir/

This was a very good Pinot Noir, for about $10, you can enjoy this subtle and smooth red wine. This is excellent for white meats, and sold like hot cakes at our store in Stratford CT. Tastes very good, with a light enough palate to please a very generic target audience. A good wine.
Nice wine, A little to astringent and had a flavor like old rubber tires smell until it breathed a bit. Might buy it again in a pinch.
This was a very good wine. I was leary because of the price, but a very good find. Great with roasted pork or lamb. A good choice to just sit, relax, and drink. I will buy this again
